This used HFM ECM Programming or Unlocking Service service will transfer VIN, immobilizer, software and coding to the replacement ECM. The replacement ECM will be Plug n' Drive and will require no additional programming. Old keys will work. VIN will match the original. Simply install the ECU and start the car. Optionally, you can use this service to unlock an used ECM and get it ready for programming. This service supports all variants of HFM ECMs with the M111 and M104 engines.
Please Read! This service has 2 variants, variant #1. Plug n' Drive (cloned), variant #2. unlocked (virgin).
Variant # 1. Plug n' Drive (cloned) ECM will be fully programmed and requires no additional programming after installation. VIN, immobilizer (SSID), key hashes, software and coding (also SCN coding) will be all transferred. Original keys will work. Simply install the ECM and start the car.
Variant # 2. Unlocked (virgin) ECM requires programming, just as a new ECM from the dealer would. You will have to flash the correct software, code it (regular or SCN), personalize and activate it. NOTE! Not all ECM can be unlocked. We will contact you if that is the case.
For this service, you will have to send in the original and replacement ECM (make sure part numbers match). Please contact us with any questions.
